Default LS1 block

I have an LS1 block that got water in 2 cly. during storage and need sheves installed. No one around me can do this. Everything else is perfect and hate to spend 1000.00 on a new block for a show car that will be ran very little. Would buy another block if I could find a good used std one. I'm in mid state Alabama. Thanks for the help.

How bad is the rust that it needs sleeves? Usually a quick hone will clean it up.

If the block does need sleeves, you would be better off finding a used block anyways. Sleeving an LS block is actually more expensive than buying a new block, and they're still problematic is not done 100% perfectly.

If its just a show car, why not replace it with a 5.3L or even a 6.0L?

Default ls1

We already spent a lot of money having the block polished and noticed the cly pitting when we was cleaning the block to reassemble.
