Have a 02 ws6 m6. Looking to do h/c/I on it. Engine has 110k miles on it. Instead of rebuilding the 5.7 to make sure it's going to be reliable would it be smarter to build a 6.0L like an lq9/4? Already purchased heads (etp 215cc) and a fast 92/92 combo. Can they be installed on a 6.0 or should I just rebuild the 5.7? Would really like a 500 or close to it at the wheels with good drivability. Not sure how possible that is doing N/A. Also already built up t56 and clutch. So motor would have to connect to that as well. Any tips welcome.

You need displacement to make a power goal like that and have any semblance of street manners or reliability. With larger cubic inch shortblocks, larger cams and cylinder heads can make big power while still being docile enough to daily drive.
I would recommend a 6.0L or bigger if you can afford it, but the 215cc heads may limit you a little bit.

What are realistic goals for a lq4 compared to ls1? If I use the same heads/intake/cam between 5.7 and 6.0 would I see more hp just by using the 6.0? Or is it too minimal that I should just stick with the 5.7? If it's like 10 extra horses it's probably not worth it while I have a good ls1. Part of me is thinking long term and buying a lq4 short block so I can drive the stock ls1 while building the lq4.
