5.3 ls piston identification Hello, I am currently new to this forum but not new to the gearhead world. I have a question for the more knowledgeable gearheads on here. I bought a 5.3 tore it down ran the numbers and it Is a 5.3. My question isabout the piston variety there is no casting mark in the center of the dish and there is a sequence of lazer ingraved numbers letters around the top edge of the piston. Has anyone else seen this? I'm curious ifthey are aftermarket or just newer stock versions with no casting mark in the center thanks.
