Hey guys im starting my first ls build for my 81 camaro since my 406 had a piston explode. I picked up a long block 98 ls1 and pulled it down, had two spun rod bearings and didnt.find anything else wrong with it. I'm looking for suggestions on where to get good parts abd what I'm needing to make around 425-450 whp threw a stalled th350. Any pointers tips or suggestions are appreciated. Heads are 853's.

 

Check the Dyno Results Section for other builds and combos that have been used. There is so much out there for the LS1 engine, making 425-450whp is more about personal preferences than sorting out a good combination. You can achieve that with just a cam if you like, or have the heads ported too.

 

I'm also going with a vic junior carb set up.
