Default Need help on cam I bought.

Hello, I recently ordered a cam with specs:

Advanced Duration: 273/277
Duration@ .050: 224/228 114LSA
Valve Lift: .581/.588

It's going in a built 5.3l with a 3200 stall and 4.10 rear gears, and I plan to put a 150-200 shot of nitrous on it.. My question is the advanced duration. When I ordered it I didn't know it was advanced. Will this help me or hurt my plans? Or should I just send it back and get a new one? I have no idea about the advanced duration.. Any help is very appreciated.

What do you mean advanced duration? You can advance the centerline on the LSA, but that's about it

Will I be good with 4.10 gears and the 3200 since the +4 takes away from the top end a little? Or will I be fine in the 1/4 mile?

With a IVC of 42 you should be fine. Now if your want more top end and don't mind sacrificing some low-end power then get a adjustable timing gears set and retard the cam 3-4 degrees(ICL 113-114) This will move you power band up roughly 200-300 rpm.
