Hi im building a 5.3 with 10.54:1 compression ls6 stage 2.5 heads and comp recommended me there lsr 227/235 cam with a 113 LSA and .614/.621 lift, im building a really aggressive 5.3 for my s10 and was wondering has anyone tried this cam? Its designed for 4.8/5.3 engines and with my forged pistons, Fast intake etc. this is what they recommended but the cam has a wide power range and was wanting to see who has tried this cam

 

Give us some specifics if you could. Weight, gear ratio, all motor? spraying a 300 shot? Do you have a auto or is it stick? Stall converter? First thing I can tell you is the cam is giving up power by having less overlap ground into the cam. The trade off is street mannes and pushing the power curve higher. With your compression ratio I would want an earlier intake close point to keep compression up and to add more overlap. That same cam on a 110 LSA would yield much better results.

 

Forged wiseco pistons ls6 stage 2.5 heads, 3200 stall, 4.11 and i bought the cam and i know its going to work well with the FAST 92 and all i was just wondering if anyone can tell me how they liked it

 

And i want some good street manner, like i wonder if i can call comp and they can custom make it to a 112

 

My goal is to make 400 horse at the tires and i MIGHT add a 125 shot LATER on, thats why i sorta like the 113 LSA because it should be ok with the nitrous and good for N/A

 

And i ment to i want to call comp to see if they can do the same cam 227/235 with .614/.621 just with a 111 LSA
