i just have a curious question i must ask. i have a 98 T/A that needs another motor pretty soon. just wondering if i could swap my ls1 that is in the car with another one without changing anything? i mean would i have to get anything electrical different or what?

Another Ls1 will be a direct swap.

Altough another ls1 would be a direct swap I would look into a preferably newer ls1 maybe even a 2004 if you could get your hands on it or even go to 6.0 that uses a gen3 computer still like an lq4 or lq9. The wiring differences would be minimal and you get the benefit of getting a better computer or PCM in your car. Its literally a direct swap still if you get the computer, harness, and motor.

Not long ago I was in that position, and found that it was actually cheaper to go with a LQ9 instead of the LS1, and there was no difference in terms of changing stuff around. Plus you get the extra cubes by going with the 6.0
