Default future truck build on paper.. how would it run?

Hey guys Im wanting a to do a truck build within the next year. I like new trucks but with 3 kids I can't afford a 60 Grand truck. So im on the hunt for a 73-79 4×4. Want to do a ls swap. I'm thinking about this setup here. What you guys think?

LQ4 or LQ9 if I luck up across one
Lightly ported 317 heads
PAC 600 lift springs
Long tube headers
TBSS intake with a aftermarket tb
Kooks mufflers (oval) like the gto exhaust
LS6 oil pump?
Tooley truck cam 218/224 553 113+3
Trunion upgrade
Trickflow timing chain
Arp head bolts/rod bolts
3000 stall from somebody
Rebuilt 4L80E

Truck will have 37/38 inch tires with a 6 inch lift kit and be driven daily plus on trips sometimes

I'm thinking it's a mistake to ask this in the internal engine section. You'd be better served over in conversions: https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-hybrids-28/ Good luck with your project!

Why the TBSS intake? What do you think you are gaining?
I believe most of the truck motors came with the "LS6 oilpump".

Be careful following LS1 advise when starting with a truck motor because since most of the truck motors are newer they often have some improvements over true LS1s.

What gear?

Haven't decided on a gear yet... I heard the tbss intake is a improvement over the truck intake? Not 100 sure tho. that's why I posted the thread lol... need a couple good recommendations like on oil pump, gears, and lifters.. etc

I believe the TBSS just got the same upgraded intake the later trucks got too with the 4-bolt TB. Maybe consider shopping for a newer LQ4 that comes with that intake vs.buying extra parts.
Someone who would have more knowledge than most on the subject told me the intake/TB swap alone was 6hp on the bone stock 5.3s, of course the same year they got the upgrade they got the 243/799 heads so I think they got a 15hp bump total hp.

6 hp isn't worth the swap in my opinion if true. Really wanting 450 horse/450 torque at the crank tho. If 15-20 horses is all you'll get from a head swap I wouldn't pay 400 plus bucks for none. I rather stick with the 317 heads....

I would put go with a 5.3 but I know the 6.0 would be more torquier for sure and also I'll have more piston which would give me more options on heads

I wasn't suggesting a 5.3l. I was commenting on how the 243s and 4-bolt TB intake added power to it.
