I am new to the forum and have done alot of searching but have just decided to see if I can get any info on my own thread.
I just bought a complete 01 lq4 and I am planning on putting in my 81 malibu which had a good running 406sbc but am just wanting to be more streetable. Id like to me able to run low 7's in the 1/8th. The car weighs 3300lbs with me in it and Ive got a th350 with a good 4000 converter and 410 gear. Here are the plans for the motor:
Stock bottom end with arp rod bolts
Tsp 2.6 Ls6 heads with there torquer v3 cam
Either a Truck in or ls6 intake with large injectors
1 3/4 headers
Do you guys think this will get the job done or do I need to go a different route with the top end and if I use either intake which throttle body and maf do I need to use?Any suggestions or tips welcome. Thanks for any info
