Cam going in today
springs = bigger bitch/ take your time on the last two on the passenger side. and do the drivers side FIRST, so that you dont get discouraged.
cam = easy/ just turn the cam over as you put it in to slide it through the bearings.
water pump = fairly easy, have a friend help you when you put it back on.
timing set = fairly easy, have a puller ready to get the old one off and maybe even a new bolt with NO head on it so you have somthing to pull against by putting it all the way in the crank (flush with the snout)
just take your stinkin time and dont drop the keys.!!! believe me, i know from experience!!!!!! use a pin magnet to get the keys out with
use the rods from HD to hold the lifters. get a good valve spring compressor. get 2 gallon dexcool. get a bucket. get a million paper towels, get band-aids, get drinks, and pizza.good luck!!!!!!!!

I would recommend using the top dead center method while changing the springs. You can find the details on ls1howto.com under cam & valvespring swap.
Use a magnet tool to pick up and keep track of the valve locks. Put a little grease on the locks to hold them on the valve stem when you're putting the new springs on.
