Default Any good NC machine shops near??
I just completely tore down this 5.3 tahoe motor and i need some machining done and really dont know who to turn to local to me, the bad thing is i am a machinist by trade but i cant bring my motor to work and do it. Any one in the goldsboro/pikeville/kinston/raleigh NC area know any good shops i can get head work and a bore job on this 5.3??

Ball Automotive Machine Shop. Joe Ball has done quite a bit of work around the Goldsboro area. He's in La Grange.

x 2 on ball he has built a few motors for me.warren engines is another good builder in clinton n.c. he is my lsx builder and h&f performance in wilson does good work also.

There is cams race engines in white marsh VA, if he will take your work. Last I heard he is turning away a lot of stuff. He does a lot of Feld's work.

Warren Engines is actually where Ball worked for 10 years before starting his own business. They are also a high quality shop, Joe speaks very highly of them. Bobby Warren was actually inducted into the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame, his sons run the place now.

been a while since i lived down there, but Steve Ashworth was pretty well known in the area. He's in Fuquay-Varina (I assume he's still there). About 30 mins south of Raleigh. Did good work for me a few years back.
