same duration cam?

Default same duration cam?

what are the advantages of running a cam with the same duration? for instance 240/240 with a 200 shot of nitrous? I have done research on it and not too clear about it. Does anyone know anything on this?

Single pattern cams work okay depending on the intended goals. A 200 shot of nitrous would work better with a nitrous cam where the valve events are designed to aid in expelling nitrous out of the exhaust. Something like a 236/248 might work better there.

IMO, if this engine is going to see mainly street driving duty then I focus more on cam spec for a N.A .engine, but with a little more exhaust duration for on occasion you do hit the 200 shot of N.O..

Single pattern cams are better suited for low-midrage torque goals and setups that have a very efficient exhaust but lack airflow on the intake side. Also for people looking for the most power but limiting overlap and the issues that come from too much (smell, rough idle, surging etc.)
