Default 99 LS1 in a 98 Camaro

Tried searching but looking for a definitive answer. I'm currently working on a 98 SS Camaro that blew the original motor. He purchased an LS1 motor from a 99 Camaro and I'm just trying to figure out exactly what needs to be changed in order to get this thing to work. I'm under the impression that the coolant temp sensor from the 98 motor needs to be used along with the oil pressure sensor?! And also the knock sensors w/harness?! Trying to get this thing in tomorrow so any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

Can't tell you about the others, but the 99 knock sensors and harness will work fine with the 98 electronics. I'm running the 99 sensors and harness on my 98 formula.

pretty sure everything should just hook right up. there are differences between the blocks and when they were cast, but not any that should inhibit you putting a 99 LS1 into a 98 car.

I have a 99 LS1 in my 98 Formula. Temp sensor needs to be swapped to the 98 sensor on the 99 engine. Everything else is plug an play.

I put a 2000 motor into my 98 and all you need to swap over is all your original sensors. If you replace the oil pressure sending unit get the 98 not the 99+ and the 99+ knock sensors and harness will work fine.

Ok cool. So I already swapped the coolant temp sensor to the 98 unit. I'll be leaving the knock sensors and harness from the 99 motor but looks like I should run the oil pressure sensor from the 98 as well?!
