Post shimmed installation

hi i have 243 heads for 6.0, 99 camaro i would like to know more about the shimming installation i have issue of how to install them can someone please explain to me how to install them or at least post a link for me talks about this problem?

Shimming what exactly? Rocker arms? Valve springs? Stock 243s should bolt right on to a 6.0 or LS1 with factory-type head gaskets.

The valve springs will typically need to be shimmed (under the seats) if the installed/seat height is higher than recommended, or if you're wanting to shim the valve springs to within .05" of coil bind at max lift.

Under the seat for the standard umbrella seal, over the seat for the one piece seat/seal used in later motors.
