Default Quick question for putting an LS6 intake on a 2000 Camaro SS

I have a 2000 Camaro SS and have acquired an LS6 intake for it. Would I need, or should I, put in the 28lb injectors that came with the 2001 and 2002 SS models (that had that LS6 intake)? How would the stock 24 lb injectors do compared to switching to the 28 lb ones that came with the LS6 intake manifold on the 01 and 02 SS Camaros?

Thanks for any help!

Marginal difference, doubt even a Dyno would show much if any difference. Given the car is all stock. I would not spend the funds, save them a for a cam.

leave the same injectors that came in your car. Dont switch them out until you get a cam or something that needs tuning. If you do switch them, tune the car.

As far as the ls6 intake, i think its a good upgrade if you can get it at a decent price. Depending on what mods you have right now, the intake alone can be hardly any power difference on a stock car (as mentioned), or a nice gain on a cam, bolt ons car. Every little thing counts IMO, and the intake is pretty easy to swap.

Thanks! I have the LS6 intake, new wires and plugs, the SLP 00-02 FlowPac Cold-Air Package kit and headers going in. Still need to get the headers, but I'm still in the dark as to which headers are best for a lowered SS. Should I wait until I get a cam to put all or any of that in?

I would install everything you listed before messing with the cam. I went back and forth on a cam for my ride, and I was advised by many to do the headers first.

Thanks, again. I really appreciate all the advice. I definitely need it. Now with the car being lowered (it will be done right with Koni's and springs and a lowering pakage) can I go with long tube headers? Or should I get the BBK Shorty Headers?
