Default Looking to build a nice street motor.

Ok right now I have a stock iron lq4 I'm considering building a 402 with some 243 heads 90mm and some long tubes. This would be going in a 97 sierra reg. cab. what type of cam would yall suggest for my goal if possible shooting for something in the high 400hp to low 500 hp range if possible n/a. I'm open to all suggestions

I'm currently doing something similar to you, but its an LS1 in an 02 RCSB Silvy. When I was looking at cams, I focused more on low to midrange power rather than a peak number. If this is a street driven truck, you will spend most of your time below 4500rpms. Something to think about as you look for a cam.

The advantage you have is the extra displacement will give you the low end torque you want.

I too am building a new motor for my '03 GMC Sierra SLE. I have the full size (8ft bed) truck with a Circle D 2800 converter in it.

I am building an LS1 383 stroker. 4" stroke crank, 6.125 rods, 3.095 pistons, PRC 1.0 heads, truck intake. I am looking at a cam from PCM of North Carolina;

Made for a heavier vehicle, nice lumpy sound, I like it!
