Default horsepower question..

Hi.. I'm new to the forum and was hoping I could get a little input. This is what I got...
2004 silverado 2500 crew cab non hd 6.0
Magnuson tvs1900 43lb.injectors
ls9 cam and Springs
Araid intake box to magnuson tube
90 mm silver blade throttle body
Gibson cat back (dual sport)
3" pulley running 9-10 psi
My tuner says I'm out of injector and says I should move up to 50lb. Injectors. He said the tune is turned down a bit too keep it safe. I was thinking of also getting some American Racing long tube headers. My question is will adding the headers and injectors make a fairly substantial gain? I see most people go the header route as one of their first mods....Maybe I just went about it backwords...Anyway, any guesses on horsepower gains with some good headers and injectors with my set up? I just want to make sure I'm spending my money where it will make the most difference. Thanks Dave.

Especially on a supercharged engine you should see a nice difference replacing the factory manifolds. Might even see a bit of a boost drop(more flow through motor with less backpressure) while making more power. I don't know what you are making now so difficult to put a number on it. Let's say 5-7%? Worth the money IMO.

On the subject of injectors, if you trust your tuner, trust your tuner. Seems like a reasonable recommendation considering your mods.

Thanks for the reply..... Blackbear is doing the tune. I guess the next question is what kind of injectors? Any recommendations on brand or part number? I didn't realize there was so many different types...

I don't have a feel for the different mfg of injectors. I suggest you look in the fuel injection forum here and possibly ask that question. Plenty of info over there and you might get slapped here for asking about injectors in the "internal engine" forum. FAST has been doing injectors a long time and even though they may not always be the cheapest, they seem to have a good reputation. You seem to have spent significant money on good parts. Don't cheap out on the injectors. Lean conditions can kill a motor quickly.

Good luck.
