Question Roller Rocker Question

I have a 98 Camaro "LS1" I have the BTR SK001 S .660" valve springs in my car and Comp 7955 push rods 7.400" , 5/16 , .80" wall thickness which is stock length I believe. My question is.. Will the Holla Terra YT6645 rockers "which are 1.7" work with my set up. Thanks Phillip

Depends. What is your installed height and lift? Also, IMO, those pushrods should be increased in OD if you are running high force springs like these.

make sure the OD of the valvespring will work with that rocker arm and i'm not sure why you wouldnt have a problem, as most aftermarket rocker arms are "bolt on"

The problem with roller rockers and why they have a bad wrap is people thing you can bolt on a set and go. Your entire valve train needs to be structured with the additional weight taken into consideration. You may need even stiffer springs or better lifters as a result. I would be running 3/8" pushrods in just about any setup short of a specific class racing that didn't allow them. Then there is the problem of aluminum roller rockers don't last long, which is fine in a race motor, but not in a street car.

What about stainless steel roller rockers in a street set up?

Even more weight... I'd run stainless steel roller rockers in a solid roller setup.

For the OP - the Yella Terras run well with BTR's Max Pressure springs. I'd run an 11/32" pushrod at least.

Why are you running them? Do you have bronze guides?
