Default What pushrods? 5.3

I have comp cams length check and I seem to be way off. Maybe someone can give me some input. It's a 2003 5.3, ls9 cam, ls7 lifters, ls9 head gaskets, 243 heads, stock rockers, and ls6 springs. I am looking at around a 7.0 pushrod which to me seems short. Thanks

It is whatever length you need for proper preload although that does sound short. With a cam, link bar lifters and milled heads (LS1) I'm at 7.300 intake and 7.275 exhaust for .035" preload. After finding your length for zero lash measure your checker with a dial caliper to double check and then add whatever preload you want.

Why did you only go with .035 preload?
