Will this cam benefit over my current?

Will this cam benefit over my current? I have a LS6 swapped out of a 04 zo6 in my f body. I need to know if this new cam my buddy is selling will:
1- benefit over my old
2 - have clearance and fit! Haha
*heads have never been removed from the motor. I have a ford 9" w/ 3.89 gears FYI
Current cam - 226/226 .589 112
Buddy's cam - 240/244 .605 112 +4 comp cam.
Would I see a power/torque increase? He is selling me rockers, springs and cam $350.
Is it worth the swap? Will it fit?

Yes there would be a power increase but with all else being stock I'm not so sure it's a great choice. With that much advance on top of that duration I'm thinking it might not clear, but I'll let others chime in on that
Do you at least have headers on the car?
That cam will make more power up top (past 5500rpm to redline) but lose a **** tone of torque before that. Your call based on how you use the car really. If it's a cruiser then that will make your car perform worse. If it's a highway roll racing machine then yes it will help tremendously.
