4.070 to much on Stroker LQ4
Looking to stroke my LQ4 (4") that is already .030 over and machine shop says they need .0015 to clean it up so next step of off the shelf pistons are .035 but weisco is back ordered for over a month on the pistons I need. I have LS3 heads im using.
To meet my CR goals of 11.5-11.8 I need to get wiseco or diamonds
wiseco
.035 Back ordered for 4 to 6 weeks ($759)
.065 back ordered till 9-25
Diamond (got a great sale price of $739, retail of $949)
.030 Ready to ship now (bore will need to go .0315 to clean up)
.070 Ready to ship now
I have been searching all day and I see some guys go .125 over in rare cases on lq4 but im curious if .070 is really just stupid to go. I know no one can say but guess looking for response to anyone that has gone that far out.
I will have the block thickness checked and from what I see .300 (or .1?) seems to be what you need left to be able to run it? I plan on staying N/A with maybe a 150 shot in the future.
