Default ls1 locked up

I just picked up a 2001 ss camaro i got a really good deal on this car the guy told me tye motor is locked up it is missing all accessories, intake , throttle body and has been sitting this way so I know the motor has been opened I'm not sure where to start on this. Should I go head and pull the motor and tear it down and see what needs tobe replaced or what should I do? I have not had a chance to mess with it at all I having even tried to turn the motor over.
Thanks dustyn again I got this car really cheap

Take all the spark plugs out and see if you can turn motor over by hand.
