Default calling all cam profile gooroo's

looking for some ideas to bring my peak power range down in my engine. as you can see in the dyno chart the car is still making power at 6600 rpm and there is a good chance its doing so still at the limiter which is 6800. i would like to have more usable power rather than waiting and waiting for power. bring the power in earlier so it can be put to good use. i believe a good cam profile for the build would do just that, unless something is wrong in the build or tune which i think everything is good.

02 ss
factory bottom end ls6 (was one to get it from factory)
slp lid
unported fast 102 intake and throttle body
prc 2.5 799 heads milled 10 thousands (came up with 10.8 or 10.9:1 compression) with factory mls gaskets
comp 7.400 push rods
comp 850 lifters
vrx5 cam (236/238 .601/.605 113+4)
kooks 1 7/8 headers, o/r y, electric cutout and factory slp muffler

the chart is dj corrected on the hp but not on the tq, and i came up with 390 tq with my own correction. just seems like a crazy straight hp curve to me, and it did to TSP as well.

any input on how to bring this curb down would be great! thanks

You could maybe advance the cam a bit or just go with a different grind entirely. I assume this is going in a f-body?

Looks more like a Dyno Dynamics graph than a dynojet.

The VRX5 with decked heads is going to be close to hitting. I thought the VRX5 was a 113+2? At 113+4 it should be peaking around 6400. The FAST dictates where you peak... not the cam. An IVC of 47 degrees will not push through the FAST resonance, so the 6400 should be good.

If you want more low end grunt, you need to swap out to a cam with an IVC closer to 42 degrees. Something like a 228/230 112+4 from Vengeance (VRX4).

see this is where more of my confusion comes in with the cam advance. the web sight shows +2 on there cams, but the cam card showed none. when i had the car tuned the tuner said that this cam had a +4 advance in the grind, but i have a feeling it was wrong so i asked if it were wrong would it be cough in the tune and cause no issues and he said it wouldnt matter, it would play out in the tune. i guess i need to contact tsp again and find out for sure. i keep debating doing a custom grind like a pat g. yall recommend anyone for coming up with a cam profile?

The cam card shows +0 and the installer said +4? Do you have an adjustable timing set? Was the cam degreed?

A +0 is an IVC of 51 degrees. Which is ideal for a 4" stroke combination. That would carry the power a bit higher than 6400 and would definitely affect the dynamic compression throughout the rev range unless you're running like 12:1 CR.

i believe that its a +2 cam like vengeance says on the sight, but the tuner was thinking it was +4. no adjustable timing, cam was installed by lining up the dots. compression is just under 11:1. cam card didnt say +0 but it didnt say there was any advance in it anywhere on it, but sense its an off the shelf grind i figured they were all the same unless comp got the grind wrong.
