So this is probably a stupid thing to ask but out of my own curiosity I went to my local gm dealership and ordered new windage tray nuts because I had misplaced mine. Well I have a 01 z28 and I took 8 nuts off of it and when I went to order the new ones he told me that they took 9 on those . Just need some input on if I am retarded or did he just wanna sell me extra

 

A quick search on ebay shows some trays that require 8, and some that require 10.
I can't picture a setup that would use 9.

 

Ya me either thats why i was confused when he told me 9. But thanks for the input
