Default TR224/224 Opinions

Cams for the LSx tend to have a bias toward the exhaust side. For instance, 228/234, etc.
While I like the cam I have (224/224), I wonder why this particular cam would not be biased as well. Could it have been intended to be matched up with a larger diameter exhaust (I have 2 1/2)?
I've been considering a cam power upgrade, and need some feedback, and whether or not I should move to a cam with exhaust bias.
Thanks.

Seems your cam was build to stay away from overlap.

Will benefit from exhaust port clean up which I believe you did they else tend to sound really good on deceleration.

If you're talking about after the headers, like the Y-pipe it isn't as crucial, but if you haven't had the heads cnc ported, and milled to bump up the SCR, the you're missing out on a nice bump in hp/tq..!
I'd also consider a upgrading the intake manifold to either a LS6 or BBK SSI, if you haven't do so already. A FAST 92 intake manifold would be even better if your budget permits. IMO, I'd highly recommend doing these before upgrading the cam, since you are happy with your current 224r cam.

Not sure how true it is but I've been told the LS motor has such a efficient head design that intake it needs more emphasis on exhaust.

From your comments, it seems like I have the upgrades to work in concert with the present cam.
ie..LS6 intake, fully self-ported heads, dual exhaust. The only thing missing is a great tune.
