Head and Cam, or Cam and Tuning?????
Head and Cam, or Cam and Tuning????? Im getting a TR224/224/114 cam this week, but not sure if I should get heads to go with it, or just get the car dynotuned with just the cam and the mods that I already have. Could someone helped me with this decision, b/c Im not quite sure what would be more beneficial for me. Thanks
up to you really, I'd attempt to do heads/cam at the same time & then get tuned from there instead of getting tuned twice and possibly having to pay for it twice...see what your local tuners can do for you...if they will do free retunes then id get the cam now & heads later.
Yeah I would like to get the heads now, but its either the heads or the tuning, i dont have the money to get both at the moment. Thanks for your imput though, im just going to go ahead and get the tuning with the cam. Thanks again If anyone else has a response please post.
I dont quite understand, a cam/springs/tuning (dyno)is what 1000-1200 depending on what package you decide on and if you do the install yourself. And a cam/heads package is like at LEAST 2000 if you go with something like budget patriots head and a cam. If you can afford to do the heads and cam go that route and you will most likely make at least the same power as cam only with it tuned. Then of course once you can afford tuning you will up that much more. Just a thought.
