I put on a set of heads and performed a compression check to make sure everything was sealed good. I read over 220psi in all cylinders and as high as 250psi. Is this normal or did my gauge take a crap? What psi numbers does everyone usually get?

Have you ran the engine yet? Do you have another gauge to compair it to? 250 would be getting into the diesel engine realm <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[bomb]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bomb.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cry]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" />
What is normal for a engine w/ 30,000 miles? I've got a LS1 w/ GTP heads/Pig cam and my compression test is reading around 135-140 per cylinder. I think we have a problem! The valvetrain seems to be noisier than it should be. I did reuse my stock rocker arms. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
