Default Speed Inc 224/224 581

I have been doing some research and found the 224/224 581/581 on 112 of separation. I was wondering; is it a real peaky cam? Compared to the stock cam, would I loose any low end torque? Ive only found 1 graph on it and it looks decent. For those of you who have it, please explain what the attributes are if you could. My main goal here is torque. Would you say its a HP cam or a TQ cam. Any and all help is much appreciated.

Mines a Lunati grind, but same cam specs. Peak is about 6300-6400 in my vette. Torque curve is strong and well above the factory.

I have that exact cam. I wouldn't call it a torque monster, but it's not a slouch either. My A4 dynoed 385 RWTQ with stock heads, headers, and LS6 intake- unlocked. Torque curve was pretty damn flat.

Im likin mine. Torque is nice and flat starts out at about 355 tq and climbs up to about 4800 5000 grand and peaks at 363 then starts to tail off slightly. Horsepower climbs all the way across the board about 225 hp at 3000 rpms and then climbs steadily all the way to 373 hp at about 5700-6000 rpms then flat lines steady at 373 hp. I think its a good all around cam especially if your looking to hit the 400 horse mark on stocks heads like I am. With its fast ramp rates you cant go wrong on a cam car, you love it even more with a M6 as it will be easier to hit the 400/400 club. As far as saying whether its a torque cam or horsepower cam..............Id say horsepower cam, with good all around performance numbers in both. It is an above average cam which is on the border of those even more extreme cams. As you can see my HP numbers and TQ numbers are just within 10 points of eachother, that is very acceptable to me as you want to keep your HP and TQ matched closely to eachother not one more extreme than the other. You wont be disappointed in a M6 at all, in an A4 you wont be disappointed either but youll be wanting a Torque Convertor real soon like me, to take even more advantage of the cam. Good Luck
