I wouldn"t use the 305 heads,as the have smaller ports and valves! Also which 350 heads do you have? They my not be that good,If they need to be rebuilt(guide work,valves,springs,screw-in studs, milling,)you might be better with aftermarket heads, such as Trickflow or Canfeild from competition products.com.These heads are about $900.00 and will make good HP.Remember your heads will make or break your engine in the power dept.I needed more info on your motor build-up and budget!

Vortec heads are 500 complete and good to 350- 400hp with a healthy cam. Ditch the 305 heads there junk.

The 305 heads are junk. Put the 350 heads on and you'll be way better off.
