Default looking for head/cam advice on forged ls1

Hey guys first post on here!

Rebuilt my first ls1 last winter, first rebuild ever and I'm very happy with the results! But I'm looking for more. I feel it is in my budget to get a nice set of heads for my car this winter and I want some advice as to what heads to look at to make this motor really scream. Gonna post my specs on engine but I'm planning on running 100 octane fuel/ maybe e85 conversion but not sure on that. But here's the specs and thanks for the help!

99 Pontiac firebird formula ls1 t56
Scat h-beams 6.125"
Wiesco flat tops 3.903" -3.2cc @11.31 compression ratio with 66cc chambers and .045 head gasket
melling oil high volume oil pump
228r cam (used and not sure of brand)
Ls7 lifters
comp push rods
stock rockers with trusion upgrade
Home ported 853 heads
1 3/4" LT headers 3" collectors
ORY
Borla adjustable exhaust 3"
slp lid

I may be a little wrong on the CR but I think I did the math right.

But yeah looking for some screaming heads to make some more power!

So you already have that build listed in mind, but are considering other options? Am I getting that right?

Why are you considering 100octane or E85?
Octane does not make power.

You sound like a 17yo ricer, settle down and a get a clue. Then set a performance goal.

Those octane levels would be worth considering if boosted, nitrous or if adding a point of compression, suggesting that for low 11s compression is an expression of just how ignorant you are.

Damn....that's harsh.....LOL

And you missed the part about the home ported heads?!

OP...seriously.....if your investing in a forged shortblock you should certainly be looking for a killer set of heads to compliment and take the most advantage of the better components. A ported OEM casting will only get you so far even in the hands of a Pro.....you need a clean sheet more efficient aftermarket design. Im about to release all an new 220 cc design thats aimed specifically at small bore (3.900) combos....its going to be a killer piece with alot of velocity and alot of airflow. Should produce stellar results at practically any RPM and the design and valve size is specifically aimed at maximizing the guys building 346/383 combinations.

I will be updating my website soon with more info on this head and also building an engine that I will feature on the engine dyno as well (346 build) using these heads.

If you don't need something this minute it will be worth the wait....should have them complete in the next four weeks or so.....early January at the latest considering the time I lose for PRI and the upcoming Holidays.

I can also help you design an entire combination around these heads also.....custom cam...the right valvetrain as that's very important in an engine that will want to turn some serious RPM with a set of Triathlete lungs. Don't skimp on the heads.....you wont make serious power without a really good cylinder head. They are truly the lungs of your engine and the most important purchase you will make concerning the power output of your new combination....they are the cornerstone of any serious performance build

Cheers,
Tony

OP, those heads that Mr. Mamo is going to have would be worth the wait. If you're looking for heads now, look into TFS, AFR, or the Advanced Induction Dart/RHS 223cc full CNC heads.
