Pushrods stock or harden Hi,
Im changiing my heads to ones that have 918 springs, will the stock pushrods be good enough to rev to 6200 with the 918. Also I just received the heads and was wondering if something goes in the pushrod opening in the head, or is it just metal on metal. It seems as if a bushing or guide should go there but I have nothing to compare it to untill I remove the stock heads. Thanks

nothing goes in there, youll be fine with stock pushrods, i ran them on my 224 581 112 cam to 6600 tons of times a lot of local guys are running stockers spinnin to 6700-6800 i changed cams to a FMS F13 cam and i had a set of hardened ones laying around so i stuck them in....all my stockers were straight as an arrow still

Are you changing the cam also or just heads? It is a $100.00 upgrade. Buy them.
i never saw the point in adding aftermarket **** and seeing how much of the stock stuff you can get away with :shrug:
