I was thinking about upgrading my rod bolts to ARP's for my 02 z28, which part number do i need and will it really help to upgrade them?

Ok not trying to be a dick but what would the reasoning be? I will be spraying the motor up to a 200 shot possibly plus the heads and cam already on top of it. Just curious is all

I'd leave it alone. I did it. I figure I'm on borrowed time. You really should resize the rods when you do it. Otherwise, the bearing will give way because it is out of round. I didn't, which is why I figure I'm on borrowed time. But this was to hold me until I went with a 402 or something.

The PN tho is ARP 234-6301

ya you already have the ls6 bolts which are good to 6800 rpm and many people have taken them well over that. The nitrous, H/C wont harm the bolts. Rpm is what kills bolts not hp

I turned a stock bottom to 7100. If you change just the bolts you risk distorting the rod cap causing a bearing to turn. Leave it alone unless you want to resize the rods. I think you'll be fine staying at 7k.

Deff resize the rods when you go ARP rod bolts. I did and mine had to get larger bearings due to the distortion from the rod bolts.
