Porting BBK TB. need suggestions. So ive had a BBK intake and TB on my car for a while. (mods in sig)
I have a dremel with all the attachments and have thought about porting my TB
As seen in the pics it has tons of meat on the bone but im not sure where to port or where to stay away from. It has some weird things going on before the blade and I dont want to screw anything up if there is a purpose for it being there..
what would you guys do? I want to open this up but dont know where to start or what to remove/not remove.

It already appears to have a thinner throttle blade shaft and the casting shape on the inner part seems to be there for a reason. Perhaps part throttle airspeed. I'd just get rid of the thick casting wall at the very entrance. Like the edge (wall) that the air hits after transitioning from the bellow. Make it razor thin and blend it in like a smooth funnel.
I don't see much gain to be had, even if you smooth/tapper the thick front edge. I would say leave it alone.
If you do decide to smooth/tapper the thick front edge, I'd stick to using the sanding drums, and finish it off with 400-1000 grit sand paper. The most important thing to do, is take your time.
