which way goes head gasket ?

first LS build

teared down the LQ4 to install the refreshed 241 heads .....
installing new ARP head bolts,

Noticed that there is a water passage hole on one end of the head gasket and no hole on other end ......

Does the hole goes at the back or the front of the engine block ?
Maybe it doesnt matters .....( dint noticed on teardown )

Opening goes to the rear.

I'm surprised it isn't actually written on the gasket you have.
