Another lq9 cam recommendation.. Here's the deal, doing my first build and I feel I should be going more aggressive than I had originally planned.
I'm building an lq9 to replace my trucks current 5.3.
Specs:
06 Sierra 1500 crew
2006 lq9
New gaskets, seals, bearings.
Stock bottom end.
317 heads
Comp valve springs and pusrods
Performabuilt HH 4l60e
FTI 2000 converter
K&n intake
Shorty headers
Mbrp duals
4:10 gears
35" tires
Now I have an 03 ls6 cam for it. But I'm thinking I should go bigger. Seems like the ls6 is a pretty mild bump up from the lq9 cam. Thoughts or suggestions?

The LS6 cam is the WRONG cam for a heavy 4 x 4 truck, you'll lose a lot of low-end power with it over the factory LQ9 cam.
Take a look at the Cam Motion, LS 6.0 Stage 2 (212/216 114lsa+4) or, the slightly smaller LS 5.3 - 10 Stage 2 (210/215 114lsa+4)
The 212 intake duration(@.05") is as large as I would go with your 2k stall TC, in your truck.

Brian Tooley Racing(BTR) also has a couple of cams worth looking at . The Truck Stage 1 , and the Truck Stage 2.
