oil clearance ???
I'm building a 408 stroker naturally aspirated from an '03 lq4. I have forged 4" crank, forged rods, King XP tri- metal main & rod bearings. This is gonna be a street truck 100% , but not an everyday truck. Right now I'm not sure if I'm gonna stay with a hydraulic roller cam or if I'm gonna go solid roller. Now my question is when I assemble the bottom end should I follow the gm oil clearance stock specs or should I go with different specs? Thanks for any help & info.
I ask because it's all forged & the gm specs r for the stock cast bottom end. Also this is my 1st real build from the bottom up.
Also i was thinking of going with a stock oil pump, ported & shimmed unless any1 thinks I should go with the Melling 10296.
Again thanks I really appreciate it.

???
So basically curious if main & rod bearing oil clearance differs any between cast/forged rotating assembly & stock /stroker build?
if I stay between stock specs I'm good? Like doesn't matter if I'm on the tighter side, or the looser side Of production spec.
