Pushrod install, fixed rockers and preload????
So I believe I bent some pushrods and well I have stock sized IE unmilled heads, should be stock ls1 lifters or ls6 with a ls6 cam. I have hardened 7.4 length pushrods but i read all this preload stuff.
My understand them being fixed i should just tighten them down to 22lbs should take 1.5 turns roughly assuming the pushrod length is correct.
IS it a big no just to tighten the rockers down to 22 where they sit or do i really need to TDC each piston? i have a length checker and will find zero lash on piston to confirm 7.4 is right but do I really need to worry beyond just 22lbs on each rocker and again do they really need to be done at TDC?
thanks

Some guys do it that way. I prefer to Tq them down as intake valve is closing/closed and right before exhaust valve starts to open. In other words the lifter is on the heel of the cam/off lobe and piston for the cylinder you are working on is TDC. I just roll the motor over with a big breaker and socket on crank pulley. This is the correct way, run the rocker bolt down by hand till all play just goes away, then start torquing it. I usually do mine at 23lbs.
When I get to a computer (on my phone at the moment)will post a link to previous thread with better detail.
