Yea, that's awesome. Sounds like they took care of you the best they could. And I am with the others that applaud you for not tossing their name out when this thread was started. That's pretty stand up right there. And may have been part of why they took care of it even with an unknown problem. I would let everyone know the shops name now for sure. I am a business owner myself of 3 companies and I would like this to be spoken about as much as possible. That's really good business for them to do that for you and the word spreads fast. They will probably sell a few new engines just from this post alone.

I agree 100%. Time and time again I've seen sponsors do the stand up thing and several people will post in the thread saying they will take their business there.

I was planning on saying the shops name when I got the motor but what the hell why not now? It was Thompson motorsports, the shop owner was gone last week which is why they didn't get on it sooner. I'm more than satisfied with their customer service and Kyle was very helpful and friendly when he called. Thanks for everyone's support and advice through this difficult time.

I was hoping there was a legitimate answer for the delay...

I'm glad you got it straightened out.

Keep us posted on how this one performs...

I don't understand the statements about stepping up to the plate and taking care of the customer. They sold a motor that was either built improperly or built with defective parts and further delayed the owner while they tore the motor down causing the OP to be out time and money. If anything they complied with their warranty after a delay.
They would be going above and beyond if they found the failure was caused by the OP and are fixing it for free or sent the OP a partial refund to cover fluids and such.

Just my .02 cents

It was supposed to ship today, hopefully it'll be here Friday. I'm not angry at all with them at this point, **** happens and they didn't try to side step their way around it, I'll happily pay the cost for fluids and head gaskets. Gotta pay to play. I'm excited to drive something with power again, my Denali isn't cutting it...
