Default 4.8 camshaft

I have been looking at camshafts for several months, going back and forth between a 224/228 and several others. I finally decided to have a custom ground cam done for me. What I got was a 219/222@.050" 110lsa no adv with .607/.602 lift. What is the advantages of having so much lift?

Higher lift cams have an accelerated ramp speed (rise over the run) which takes advantage of the flow characteristics of the cylinder head.
Having each valve open farther and longer gets more air in and more air out as the pistons below are just an air pump.

But for a stock 4.8 with a cam only, what characteristics will this cam have?

I would imagine that it will have a bit of a stumble to it at idle and will definitely need at least a 3200 stall converter or steeper rear gears if M6 trans. You'll also want headers and aftermarket push rods plus a quality dual valve spring kit.

Pushrods and springs already ordered, truck has headers on it, 373 gears in the rear, but it will definitely need a stall.
