317 heads on ls1

This may be a dumb question but do 317 heads work on a ls1 bore? Looking at a pair that I would mill.

Yup...But its going to lower your compression.

Just keep in mind that to go from a 70-71cc head to a 62ish? head is about .048" shaved.

That means .048" less PTV for cam selection needs to me more careful.

Pretty much. Good for turbo's and more boost.
