Default LQ9 with L92 heads

Will I need to have the flat top LQ9 pistons relieved for valves if I run L92 heads? Any other issues I need to know about?

Depends on cam choice. You can run a conservative amount of duration on the intake side, and a little more on the exhaust, if you don't go crazy you'll be fine.

I would like to make 500 hp N/A out of this. I'm guessing going mild with camshaft might not be an option?

6.0L or 6.2L gaskets will work.

My best piece of advice on cam selection would be to get ahold of Patrick Guerra. He is renowned in Tx for making great power in the G8 community with 6.0 rectangular port headed engines. I have yet to hear a complaint other than he's hard to get ahold of.

Thanks. I've met him. He lives here in town, and yes, very busy man.

You must be from Victoria then. Nice to meet a fellow Texan.
