Del West titanium valves
Miami9933 or whatever his username is (Christian) has them. They made the top of his curve SMOOTH.
If I had the extra coin, it'd be a no brainier for me... But good lord they're expensive.

There's no need for CuBe seats unless you have a lot of heat. The C6 Z06 runs a Del West intake on an iron seat and comes with a warranty. The exhaust is the first one to show thermal issues but you'll be fine.

Those Z06 valves are coated though, are they not? And I'm pretty sure the PM metal seats have copper infused in the alloy to help with the heat transfer.
The coatings don't last on the valve seats. A properly tuned NA engine 7500rpm will have minimal seat wear using quality iron as long as it's set up right, nothing special just quality work & parts.
I was simply saying if you're going the extent of putting Ti valves in a 243, you'd do the seats as well since yea, it helps with heat, but it also extends the valve life.
You don't HAVE to do it, but it's one of those things that "while I'm at it" or "I've already went this far, so..."
That's what I meant.

The seats on my new Wegner 799 castings do have some copper in them. I was told by Carl that GM used those seats for great longevity in Flex Fuel applications which run hotter and cleaner.
Do all 799 heads use these seats? If not, how can you tell the difference?
