Default milling and thinner head gaskets ok?

I just realized I bought cometic .040 head gaskets for 62cc chamber 241 heads. Going from 66cc to 62cc is about .025 mill and the head gaskets are .011-.012 less than stock. Do I need to buy stock mls gaskets? Im worried that combo is a bit too much to take off on a stock LS1 with just a mild cam. I did a compression calculator and it came out 11.2-1 though. Any input or advice is greatly appreciated.

Should be fine, you're not increasing compression that much and unless your cam is big then you shouldn't worry about PTV.

In fact what you're doing is pretty good, increasing compression and better quench.

As long as you have access to 93 octane should be very good

I did this recently to mine, 0.040 cometic gasket and 241 heads milled 0.020
runs great and is great on 93 octane. The real way to see if your car can run 93 octane is to determine the dynamic compression ratio. Your cam greatly effects this and the calculator uses the cams ABDC number to calculate it. Mine is at 8.8:1, once you get to about 9:1 dynamic your looking at needing more than 93.
