Default 408 build

Ok guys I really need you to critique my build. I'm curious to what kind of power you guys think I'll make. Here it is...

Tsp 408 w/
Texas speed forged h-beam 6.125 rod
Texas speed forged 4" crankshaft
Weisco -3cc pistons with top steel ring... (nitrous use)Wrist pin upgrade .
Arp 1/2 head studs...
Arp main studs...
Prc 247cc heads 66cc...
Texas giant camshaft (248/254 114lsa)...
Mls head gaskets...
Blue demon 3 fuel injector (48lbhr)
Stock ls6 intake, throttle body, and maf...
Nitrous Express 2pc. Maf kit spraying a 200 shot.

I should be around 11.5-11.6 compression...

As far as the transmission I'm building a th400 with a quality stall... (ptc, Yank, circle d)

The rear axle is a Strange S60 with 3.54 gear....

Thanks in advance guys.

I'd go with more exhaust duration like a 248/258 114lsa, with spraying a 200 shot, and I'd seriously consider a better intake.

Depending on the dyno I'm thinking maybe around 520-550

460-470. Intake will kill it.

I missed the LS6 intake part, but still 433 seems extremely low

So you've already dyno'd it?

And what exhaust?

Yeah, even with a LS6, TH400, and S60...still seems low to me too. Tune maybe?

I have the same rotating assembly, same heads and a 251/259 .624/.624 cam with a 102 intake and 1 7/8 headers 4" exhaust speed density tuned. Car made 523/487 through a 6 speed and 430s on a dyno jet. With that said it had a vacuum leak at the back of the intake fuel trims were a wreck and ended up finding a couple collapsed lifters the motor had a noise from it's first start. No clue after the issues were fixed what it makes but gives you a idea I suppose.

That's ported 243 and cammed LS1 territory. And not even that radical heads and cam to boot.

Upping to 1-7/8 headers and a fast 102 would improve things but not put it into the 500's.

Got good fuel pressure?

I remember your last thread. With what you have, with an ls6 intake, 1-3/4" headers, th400, huge stall, & S60 rear end you are right on par with where you should be at the rear wheels. Swap the intake & TB for a FAST 102 & run 1-7/8" headers. You'll probably be around 460+rwhp. It's your supporting mods that are holding you back. As well as running a 4000+ stall, th400, & an S60. It will never break any dynos. But it'll run like a raped ape!

In all honesty, you've posted this question in a couple other threads and the answers are almost always the same. You just need to optimize the combo that you have with better supporting mods & don't expect 500rwhp from the drivetrain that you're running.

I completely agree... im strongly considering a msd intake or a super Victor intake...

Put a super vic efi with a 4150tb and a stinger plate setup. With a good speed density tune it should run like hell. That motor needs plenty of air with those heads and cubes.

Spray her and let her eat. Nice setup!!

No prob. man.

Your results with the dual exhaust is pretty impressive. Really makes me want to ditch my single setup. Once you get your intake setup better I bet you'll gain a nice amount.
