engine over heats only when its off

370 lq4 rings gapped to .028 top and .030 bottom. . Fbody fans and ls9 g as kets... engine over heats as soon as i turn it off but stays cool when engine is running

Any idea whats going on?

How do you know it's overheating? Are you just looking at the gauge or is puking out of the overflow or blowing the cap off...?
