Default Ls1 heads cam swap questions????

Ok so I have a few questions here guys, first of all I just got doing a heads cam swap on my ls1 trans am I went with stock 243s with duel valve springsls6 intake Brian tooley cam 234/242 and long tube headers and only made 406 hp and 383 tq. I talked to Brian tooley and he said that that seemed awfully low and so did several of my experiences ls buddies. What are everyone's thoughts on that??? Brian tooley said he's seen 460 with the same set up besides the vette that made that power had true duels. My tuner said that my o2s were bad so I'm in the process of getting new ones shipped and so on but anyways let me know your opinion on that and what else I could do to get a little more power out of my heads cam swap??? Also what extra maintenance should I do since doing these mods??

It's just a dyno number. Take it to the track and see what it does first

exactly this. Your trap speed tells you the most. A chassis dyno is good for relative measurements- such as adding a set of headers and gaining 30 HP. Tony Mamo told me last night he thinks the dyno I'm using is reading low at 370 with my setup. But I trapped 113 on pump gas. You can make all kinds of dyno arguments but trap is trap.

My got same number with same heads and spring and TSP 228 cam on 112lsa. I guess you can figure 15% drivetrain loss with M6 and I'd say that's pretty good number. My TA is pretty dang quick after head/cam swap

You would of gotten more hp if you had the 243 heads worked by AI.

Default dyno numbers

Well if u tuned it on dyno jet then there is something wrong with the tune. However I had the same numbers on dyno dynamics and the car is such a bad *** I promise.

You can make a dyno read anything. People get so caught up with that little sheet of paper instead of learning how to pedal it down a track.
