C5R Chain and Timing Gear ?'s

I have been doing extensive research on an LQ9 turbo build that I am gonna put into my brother's Syclone, and the timing chain is giving me some problems. I don't really like the idea of a single link chain but don't like the idea of having to clearance the oil pump and timing cover w/ a double roller. If I go with the C5R does anyone know John Loyd who sold the Roller Master gear set and C5R chain for $114 shipped? If I go with a C5/7R chain what is the best gear set for each? What power can these chains handle? I haven't seen straight answers but I understand the specifics of each choice. Does Roller Master still make the billet gear set for the C5R chain?

Cloyes makes the best gear set you can buy. You can get it with the C5R chain... but it's like $250+. But it's also hand-matched.

I use the new C7R chain. It is an improved version of the C5R chain. I use it with stock GM timing gears which are excellent. Check it out:
