Thanks king; For the record I'm not trying to buzz kill the OP, his combo WILL rip. Guess I'm just a fan of knocking the ball over the fence and the OP wants it to leave the stadium and crash the windows out of the school busses in the lot.....LOL In both cases it's still only worth one run.....

Pretty sure it will...at least that is what red told me. He is more interested in boost for a upgrade.

However yes if a cam is in the future then by the **** once and be done.

thanks for all the help guys. I completely get what AR is saying and that's def me. I'm still undecided what I'm going to do down the road, FI or LLR, right now I'm leaning towards FI. At that point if I left the stock cam in the pushrods will be great to have with boost. BUT thats down the road, right now I just want to make it the fastest bolt on car it can be. 11/32 are not needed with a gm lobe but for an extra few bucks its cheap insurance and hopefully will make the lifters job a little better. Anything I can do to help the ls7 lifters out is ok with me, within reason of course.

Plus by ordering the pushrods from Tony I can probe his brain if I have a question during install. I feel bad doing that if I didn't give him business, and his advice is worth way more than the extra 90 bucks for the pushrods lol. But as a bonus from his advice I still get the larger PR's!

With that said I ordered 11/32 pushrods from tony at 7.45 length. I gave him some measurements and he came up with ~7.425, compared to what I had seen with other peoples setup that seems a little small. So I went back out and re-measured a couple other cylinders and redid my calcs and came up with something very close to 7.45 total with .050 preload so thats what we went with. Worse comes to worse it will just run a little more preload with the longer PR's which is fine since .05 isnt much with ls7 lifters to start.

Just noticed you have a 1966 Mustang. First car I ever bought was a 66 Mustang. Got ran off the road with it on Christmas morning many years ago it was totaled. Then bought a 64-1/2 out of a wrecking yard. Long story-short, the 64-1/2 I sold was restored by the guy who bought it. Turned our to be a very low serial number car

Can't tell you how true this statement is.

I should also add that this car is my DD, I take it everywhere so like said although said parts may not be needed I put 12-15k on the car in miles a year so over building it a bit for added security is just peace of mind lol.

That SUCKS about the 64.5 man :/. I want to do somethin with mine soon the majority of it is original but these cars arent worth a whole lot and the car has had a repaint already and its showing its age. Its just a base car so its not like we're dealing with a K-code 289 4spd. I want to do a nice restoration on it and do something cool to make it a fun driver to me. I would ideally like to do a full coil over suspension with a Mustang II front end then something exotic for an engine. Hopefully the new voodoo isnt a gold mine and I can afford one to drop in with an auto and a 9"
