Default Ls1 Motor toasted bearing

Hi
I have this ls1 engine, it was driven about 5 k miles on it after complete engine overhaul. It completely toasted the bearings. And killed one lifter and camshaft.

What makes this happen .

Is it okey to use this block with fresh assembly.

It was done and now i have simlar problem . Dead lifter and not so good bearings.
Will post pic of that later .

You could be dealing with a combination of issues that resulted in that type of failure.
-bearing clearance issue
-lack of lubrication on start up(dry start with no assembly lube left on anything)
-incorrectly adjusted valve train or improper geometry
-pick up to pan clearance
-missing or incorrectly installed "dumbbell"
-looks like a lack of oil

That cap has taken a lot of heat
It would need to be looked at up close by a machinist
Odds are everything will need to be gone through again
It needs to be mocked up and measured before making any decisions.

It looks like this now .
I did not assambly the motor , so i donīt have anything about the cleranece. But I have been told the block got line bored and assambled with new bearings
I will be removing main caps later today.
but it looks like this now,

The bad lifter was on the ex valve on 6 cyl.

I would bet you had a bad lifter that wasn't rolling. Chewed up the lifter and cam lobe which caused the bearings to get cooked. When oiling is issue enough to wipe out bearings it would go much faster. This engine took some time to burn up. So I am betting the house on a lifter being at fault.

Is it the same lifter bore as last time with the bad lifter? may need to get your lifter bores checked before the rebuild.

That would explain how a lifter went bad.
