Default flat top pistons for LQ4

Had planned to just do rings and bearings in my LQ4 block, but I have some cylinder wall pitting that will require boring. I have LS3 heads and intake. I am not looking for massive horsepower, just a good street engine for a 53 5-window. At this point it would seem logical to go with flat top pistons, but I know there is an issue with the piston pins. What's the best way to go without spending all of my wife's vacation money? Don.

You can find Speed Pro hypereutectic pistons at Summit. They're only like $250 but I think they're for press fit wrist pins.

I found some on ebay new for 225 with rings. Floaters though. You may find ls3 low mileage pull outs for 200-250 with rods. Cheapest you'll find.

Keep in mind if you use ls3 take outs you have to bore 65 over.. I'm doing it right now.
